New Drive for Flying Shear
At the beginning of the month of March 2018, a new drive specification for flying shear was presented at an important rolling mill in Brazil.
The existing flying shear will have their position modified for an application where the speed of the cut bar is 4 times smaller than the previous one. This will require a higher torque to compensate the kinetic energy loss of the masses. The new drive was specified with motor and gear-box.
This is the number 28 flying shears calculated by Copar.
